The Wilanów Park-Palace Complex

The Wilanów Palace is one of the most important monuments of Polish Baroque. Built for Kong Jan III Sobieski at the end of the 17th century. Its uniquestatue is the result of its orginal architecture and sculptures decorating the facade.

The Royal Łazienki Park-Palace Complex



One of Europe's finest parks laid out in the 17th century, it delights tourists and Warsaw inhabitants to this day.




The Fryderyk Chopin Monument: designed by W. Szymanowski, unveiled in 1926. In summertime Chopin music concerts take place beside the monument.


The Belvedere:


Erected circa 1660. Since moving the official seat of the President Of the Republic of Poland to the "Governor's Palace" in the city centre, Belveder is used by the President and the Government for cereminial purposes.

Ujazdowskie Avenue

This street links Trzech Krzyży Square and Belwederska Street. It's Warsaw's most elegant avenue with historical places, villas, splendid facades, embassies, buldings of the Council of Ministers and beatiful green parks- the Ujazdowski Park and the Royal Łazienki Park-Palace with the Belvedere.




The Ujazdowski Park contains the sculpture "Gladiator" by P.Weloński, and "Eve" by E. Witting. The park balance, in use non-stop since 1912, is worth a visit.


The Ujazdowski Castle was demolished in 1954 and rebuilt in 1975. From 1981 the Centre for Contemporary Art, organizing exhibitions of outstanding artists from all around the world.

Nowy Świat Street

In the second half of the 19th century, Nowy Świat became a very animated street with many shops and cafes. Completely destroyed during World War II. After the war, the acient fasades partially rebuilt and houses of an indefinite style were raised. Many places recall its residents, among them: L. Staff, K. Szymanowski, J. Tuwim.

Welcome...

to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, city with distinctive atmosphere and definitely worth visiting.



Come and visit the Old Town, the historcal center of the capital. In summertime it becomes the stage for open air concerts, theater group shows and a painter's gallery.

If you are the a sacral art lover, I encougare you to go into Basilica of St. John the Baptist, the St. Martin's Church or the Church of Our Lady of Grace.



Castle Square:

The Royal Castle was built in 13th century. After the capital was moved from Cracow to Warsaw it became the center of the executive and legislative authorities. Barbarically robbed and destroyed between 1939-1944, it was rebuilt around the surviving architectural elements in 1971-1984.

The Column of King Zygmunt III Vasa is the oldest secular monument in Warsaw. It was designed by C. Molli. Destroyed in 1944 and rebuilt in 1949.
